1up.com post new Review & Images of MK:
Deception |
1up.com has a new review & posted new images from the
Gamecube version of MK: Deception.
::From the 1up.com Preview::
Tech-wise, the game's graphics are more or less comparable
to the other versions, and everything runs smoothly, so it
doesn't look like GC players will have much of a negative
tradeoff for the extra characters beyond the lack of online
play, which will be no surprise to GC players.

Gamespot post new Images |
|
Gamespot.com has posted new images from the Gamecube
Version of Mortal Kombat: Deception. They also have a
couple of images of the select screen. Their are 27 spot
for characters on the select screen. One of the spots is
a question mark, I think this might be just like MK:
Tournament Edition with the question mark is a Random
Select. Check out the images @

Gamespot Reviews MK: Deception for the
Gamecube |
Gamespot.com has posted a new preview of MK:
Deception on the Gamecube. They updated the Konquest,
the Krypt and their might be more unique kontent for the
Gamecube version.
::From the IGN article::
Aside from the new characters and the lack of online,
there are a few other minor differences between this
version and the version released last year on other
platforms. You'll have more characters to choose from
right at the outset. Only six characters are locked at
the beginning of play, giving you 20 playable characters
right off the bat (you used to have to unlock six of
those 20 before getting to them). This will probably
cause some changes to the konquest mode, which is where
many characters are unlocked, and in the krypt, which
appears to contain the same number of koffins to unlock.
This presumably means that there will be some more
unique content in the GameCube version of Deception, but
what that content might be is still a mystery at the
moment.

IGN Reviews Mortal Kombat TV Game |
IGN.com
has
posted a new review of the Mortal Kombat TV Game. The
also posted images and videos for the unit.
::From the IGN article::
It was the game that caused Nintendo to change its restrictive
"no violence on our system!" policy when gamers flocked to the
Sega Genesis version and its arcade faithful blood-and-gore...
but only through the use of the required ABACABB code. It was
the game singled-out for harming our children, and causing the
formation of a committee to create the ratings system now
emblazoned on every single published console and computer game.

IGN's GameCube Games of 2005: Part 1 |
IGN posted their most anticipated GameCube Games of 2005:
Part 1. Mortal Kombat: Deception is on this list as one of
the most anticipated games.
::From the IGN article::
In 2005, the lineup has thinned. There aren't as many third
party games in development as there were last year for GameCube,
but the console will still see solid support from major
publishers including Electronic Arts. There are some very
important reasons to own a GameCube through the next 12 months,
the biggest of which is the GCN-exclusive juggernaut known
currently as The Legend of Zelda. For the Nintendo hardcore,
this game alone is more than enough reason to make sure their
GameCubes never grow dusty. But there are a wide number of other
titles sure to please system owners, including everything from a
new Star Fox game to GCN-specific versions of Mortal Kombat:
Deception and NBA Street V3.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks Interview |
TeamXbox.com has posted an interview with the
producer of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
::From the TeamXbox article::
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a completely different
game than previous MK adventure games. It is not a
continuation or even building on any of the previous
adventure games. We started fresh and built this game
from the ground up the right way. One big thing we did
right from the beginning was that we focused on the
gameplay of Shaolin Monks and worked on a prototype that
demonstrated what we needed the game to be able to do,
before we moved forward with production. The gameplay
was something we wanted to have worked out before we
moved on, and I think it really shows in the kombat, and
we are still pushing to make it even stronger.

IGN post new images Mortal Kombat
Plug-n-Play TV game |
IGN has
post images of Midway new Mortal Kombat Plug-n-Play TV
game. This is the original Mortal Kombat game with all
the blood and gore. I wonder if it has the Ermac error
in it?
::From the IGN Article::
Two of these units can be linked together for one-on-one
fights, and the internal memory chip will record high
score standings, just like the original arcade unit.
Jakks Pacific promises that the version of Mortal Kombat
in this controller will be completely unedited,
featuring the same blood and fatalities the series is
known for.

Through the Village Doors, kinda |
I finally got in the double doors back to the village. I
didn't open the door I got pushed through it. I used the
same glitch that I used to get to A9 in the Chaosrealm.
I couldn't find section A9. You have to do this glitch where you talk to
another character walking by that forces you through a
solid object. Keep pushing
(on the Xbox)
(on the PS2) until they push you through the wall on the
right side of the portal. Once you do this you you will
be on the other side of the double doors. You are not in
the village, you are walking on air just like the
Orderrealm and the Chaosrealm. Here is a
Video
on how to do this and a few images of this. If you do this make sure you
can get out of where you are, you can get stuck and if
you save your game it will save with you in that same
spot. So you will be stuck forever. The only way out is
to quit without saving.

Section A9??? |
By now everyone has been to A9 in Orderrealm, but have
you been to A9 in any other realm? The Chaosrealm has a
section A9. Is section A9 a glitch or is it a huge
secret waiting to be found out? I have not been able to
get to A9 in any other realm yet. If I get to any other
realm's A9 I'll post it. Here is how to get to A9 in the
Chaosrealm. You have to do this glitch where you talk to
another character walking by that forces you through a
solid object. Keep pushing
(on the Xbox)
(on the PS2) until they push you through the wall on the
right side of the portal. Once you do this you can get
the Onyx koin behind the portal. Here is a
Video on how
to do this and a bunch of images of this. Here are 2
other movies,
Getting the Koin behind the Portal and
leaving section A9. If you do this make sure you can
get out of where you are, you can get stuck and if you save
your game it will save with you in that same spot. So you
will be stuck forever.

Getting Past Guard in Netherrealm Glitch. |
Their is a way to get around the guard stopping you at
the bridge in the Netherrealm. This is the bridge that
allows you to do the Kochal Challenge. I did not find
this out.
zirtoc from the
IGN
forum posted this.
I did not find this out I found it on IGN forum. But I did it and captured video and better images of this.
So here's how to get past the bridge guard - obviously you have to have an unbeaten Konquest to do it:
1) Push Ermac over to the bridge and get him right on top of the bridge guard.
2) Run at the bridge, and make a break for the right or left side. Press the dialogue button (X on PS2)
(A on Xbox) while you do it to initiate dialogue with Ermac.
3) I'm not sure how far past the guard you have to be, so try to be standing at least EVEN with him before doing this. If you initiated a dialogue with Ermac, agree to train with him.
4) Once I trained with Ermac I was on the other side of the bridge. Hooray!
5) After
you do this you can cross the bridge anytime you want.
You can't talk to Nitara or Cyrax but you can hit them
and they hit you back.
Here is I captured video of this.
Windows Media Format |
QuickTime Format. I also have
38 pictures
of this. This is a Glitch but it is a cool one. Please
Right click and download the movies it save my bandwidth
this way.
::Update::
If you do this you can train with Liu Kang before you beat the Konquest you can
open the Kachol Portal. If you open the portal it
doesn't appear but you can walk through it. I haven't done
this yet but as soon as I do I'll capture video of it and
post it. Here is video of
Cyrax and Nitara hitting Shujinko. Here is video of
walking past the guards to
train with Liu Kang. Both video are in QuickTime format. |

Couldn't hit the Monk guy |
| In MK: Deception Konquest, I was doing a mission in
Earthrealm, the one where the guy at the hut door in section
C-6 where he tells you to Discover what is happening in the
hut to the south. I finished this mission and the Guy ran
away like is was crazy. Now here is the weird part. I saw
him walking back to his hut and I could not hit him. I
captured video of this. I think it is a glitch, because
when I went in to the hut with the Scorpion Guy and came
back out I could hit the guy. |
